Man charged with kidnapping child

A man from Northamptonshire has been charged with kidnapping a child and a sexual attack on a woman.

The 36-year-old man was arrested following the alleged assault in the Rowlett Road area of Corby on Tuesday, Northamptonshire Police said.

A police spokesman said: "A Corby man has been arrested and charged with the abduction of a child and the sexual assault of a woman."

The man will appear before magistrates in Corby on Friday.
