The Nottingham edition of a free newspaper is being launched.
Metro is already available in other UK cities such as London, Manchester and Birmingham and is seen as an emblem for urban commuters.
The paper's directors claim it will offer no-spin news as well as information on entertainment in and around Nottingham.
Copies of Metro will be available between 6.30am and 9.30am from trains, stations and tram stops.
The idea comes from Sweden where it was first created in the mid nineties.
Metro is aimed mainly at younger readers who love city life.
