Syria: 'Grave' killings 'must be investigated'

Syrian opposition groups say President Assad's forces have killed as many as 90 people in the town of Hoola, near Homs.

Nadim Houry, director of Human Rights Watch in Syria, says it is important that the UN monitors go to Hoola to "check the facts".

"Clearly a large number of people were killed", he says, and this is "something very grave that has to be investigated".

The UN needs to continue to "exert pressure" on the Syrian government, he told the Today programme.
