Guernsey could introduce a UK-style vetting scheme for anyone who works with children. The Home Department is considering the move which is being supported by the Bailiwick's Scout Commission. The UK scheme requires people who work with children and vulnerable adults to register with the Home Office's Independent Safeguarding Authority. They are then monitored and employers can feed information about suspensions or dismissals into a central database.
