The BBC is to tighten its controls on taste and standards after a major survey of its audience's views.
The review follows the row over phone messages left for Andrew Sachs by Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross during a programme on Radio 2.
The BBC's Creative Director, Alan Yentob, has said the BBC needs to have a better understanding of public opinion.
