Chance to sail on tall ship
Lord Nelson
The Lord Nelson will visit Jersey in June
People in Jersey are being given the opportunity to join the crew of a tall ship.

The Jubilee Sailing Trust is hoping islanders will come forward to take part when square-rigger Lord Nelson visits the island in June.

The Trust organises voyages for people with any level of physical ability - they can be a complete novice or an experienced yachtsman.

The Jersey branch of the Trust is encouraging more local people to sign up for a voyage.

Each trip can take up to 40 crew, and a 'buddy' system is used which means one person with a disability teams up with another crew member.

Some voyages cost from around 500, but the Trust may be able to help with finances.

Destinations include ports in the UK, Germany and Amsterdam.
