Online betting companies are now a major source of revenue for Alderney.
Six more licences were awarded to companies, attracted by low taxes, to operate in the Channel Island in the past year.
Last year gambling industry profits topped �700,000, all of which goes straight to the States.
The six new licences awarded last year brings the total number of internet gambling companies based in the island to 18, with more in the pipeline.
