Four Bailiwick museums have gained accreditation from a UK organisation.
Guernsey Museum and Art Gallery, Castle Cornet, Fort Grey and Alderney Museum have been recognised by the Museums, Libraries and Archives Partnership.
Each met guidelines on how a museum should be run and how it looks after collections and visitors' services.
The accreditation is an addition to the island's registered museum status and Visitor Attraction Quality Assured Standard already held by the museums.
The partnership is the UK Government's agency for museums, galleries, libraries and archives and sets agreed standards for all museums in the UK.
