Safety campaigners are to meet Guernsey's top politician over pupil access at the island's newest school.
Members of the group STEPS want to see Les Osmonds Lane used by pedestrians heading for the new St Sampsons High School.
However, landowners in the area have objected to the idea.
Chief Minister Mike Torode has agreed to meet with member of STEPS to discuss a solution to the problem. The school is due to open in September.
Since the new school was proposed on the former Les Nicolles Vinery Site, islanders have had concerns about how pupils will get to the school.
It is proposed most students will travel by bus. But, for those walking, narrow roads and lack of pavements in the area have caused fears about safety.
