Visitors to the island's Curraghs Wildlife Park were able to listen to poetry while they walked on Sunday.
The Isle of Man Poetry Society was giving readings as part of the 40th anniversary celebrations of the popular visitor attraction.
Members read poems, either their own work or work published elsewhere, as visitors walked around the park to see the animals.
The public could also submit their poems to the park on the day.
General manager, Nick Pinder, said: "During this anniversary year we wanted to put on events that were a little different and which might attract people for reasons other than seeing the animals."
