Island's life savers get new kit
Members of a scheme to provide on-the-spot help to people suffering heart attacks have been presented with a new piece of life-saving equipment.

The Peel Neighbourhood First Responder Scheme has been given a defibrillator by the British Heart Foundation.

The equipment is used to respond to life threatening emergencies while an ambulance is on its way.

The Isle of Man's Chief Ambulance Officer Steve Sieling praised the foundation's generous gift.

He said the newly-founded first responder scheme will benefit patients with heart conditions in the Peel area.
