Grounds cleared to deter ravers
The grounds around one of Jersey's oldest Martello towers are being cleared up to discourage people from holding unofficial raves there.

The National Trust claims people in cars are churning up the grass and some people are leaving hypodermic needles near the Victoria Tower overlooking Gorey.

Parish police have been patrolling to prevent people causing trouble.

The Victoria Tower was built in 1837 and it is one of Jersey's oldest.
