The first crop of onions grown commercially in Jersey for five years has been harvested.
The 100 tonne crop of red and white onions was planted at Woodside Farm in Trinity in March.
Farmer Charles Gallichan Junior recently stopped growing Jersey Royals so he could expand daffodil production.
But the new equipment he has bought is also suitable for onion processing and a new crop is being sown this month.
