There are concerns that raising alcohol prices may reduce sales

Plans to address alcohol problems in Jersey are being debated by the States.
Politicians have spent the past few months composing an Alcohol Strategy for the island.
The original plans, which were launched more than a year ago, included continuing to put up the price of alcohol above the rate of inflation.
But in an amendment to the strategy, Deputy Guy de Faye, is asking the authorities to consider the effect price rises will have on other people.
Mr de Faye does not believe simply putting up the cost of a drink will help people who have a genuine drinking or dependency problem.
He also claims that if alcohol becomes too expensive, people will stop buying so many drinks, which would eventually lead to a fall in the amount of tax revenue.
