A new mobility service in Jersey for people with disabilities is said to be proving a great success.
The scheme, which already works in over 450 UK towns and cities, is operated by the Shopmobility Organisation.
Motorised scooters and wheelchairs are available for hire from the Sand Street car park in St Helier.
Kate Sallis, chair of the Multiple Sclerosis Society, said many people would not be able to go out shopping without this sort of help.
The Shopmobility scheme is the brainchild of retired London councillor, Edward Trevor, who moved to Jersey last year.
