The Big Picture: Puccini

Cast members perform during a full dress rehearsal in Sydney for the Opera Australia production of Puccini's 'Manon Lescaut' which opens on July 16, 2009.

Manon Lescaut tells the story of the three men in the life of the free-spirited heroine Manon, her brother Lescaut who tries to protect her, the wealthy Geronte di Ravoir who offers her a life of luxury and the impoverished Il Cavaliere Renato des Grieux who offers her his heart.
