The town of Kirkcudbright in Dumfries and Galloway, July 1927. Kirkcudbright, on the River Dee, means 'the church of St Cuthbert'. MacLellan's Castle, built in 1582, dominates the town.

Alfred Hind Robinson was one of the pioneers of panoramic photography and shot over 2000 panoramas between 1903 and 1930.
