The 55-mile Derwent Valley Heritage Way begins at Ladybower reservoir in the north of the county

The walk then follows the River Derwent along past the Dark Peak

It goes on past the White Peak and through the grounds of Chatsworth House, home of the Duke of Devonshire
Matlock Bath

The path takes walkers through the popular tourist town of Matlock Bath

Walkers can then head past the mills of the World Heritage Site at Cromford and Belper, above

Volunteers have installed 73 signs along the route to point walkers in the right direction
Derwent Mouth

The 55-mile route finally ends where the River Derwent meets the River Trent near Shardlow in the south of the county
