1 of 6 Artist Damien Hirst and photographer David Bailey have collaborated on The Stations of the Cross, an exhibition at London's Gagosian Gallery from 30 April to 5 June. It includes the image Jesus is Condemned to Die.
2 of 6 Friends Hirst and Bailey have created 14 proactive, disturbing pictures to portray the final hours of the life of Christ, as in Veronica Wipes the Face of Jesus.
3 of 6 Jesus on the Cross shows how Hirst mixes the sacred with the controversial to challange traditional Christian thinking.
4 of 6 David Bailey also has a solo exhibition at the Gagosian Gallery. Entitled Artists by David Bailey, it features his photographs of fellow artists such as Gilbert and George, captured in east London's Spitalfields.
5 of 6 His stark, cropped photographs are said to give an insight into the minds of his sitters, as in his portrait of eccentric English painter Francis Bacon.
6 of 6 Bailey has photographed fellow artists throughout his entire career, starting with Andy Warhol in 1965 and most recently his friend Damien Hirst, photographed in 2004.
