The General Synod of the Church of England has broken into song during a protest against water bills imposed on churches and other community groups.
The protest, led by lay member Martin Dales from York, saw senior clergy members break into chorus of "the rains came down and the tax went up".
Mr Dales leads a campaign group opposed to charges levied on rainwater and drainage from properties.
