Demonstrations have been taking place around the UK. The protesters are calling for action on climate change ahead of the Copenhagen summit which starts next week.
Blue was the colour. The organisers, Stop Climate Chaos, had called the demonstrations "The Wave" and a sea of people took to the streets of Westminster in London.
A series of events in London began with an ecumenical service at Westminster Central Hall, which involved the Archbishop of Canterbury Dr Rowan Williams (right) and Archbishop Vincent Nichols (left), head of the Catholic Church in England and Wales.

Meanwhile 7,000 showed their true colours in Glasgow. A demonstration also took place in Belfast.
The Dublin air was turned blue by the protesters, who are calling on Western nations to commit to an 80% cut in carbon emissions by 2050.
Similar messages were being relayed around the world. In Berlin, activists dressed as world leaders and sat in a water-filled tank.
Greenpeace "flashmobs" gathered in cities around France, including Paris and Bordeaux.
Nailing its colours to the mast, Greenpeace spells it out to all those flying into Copenhagen ahead of the summit.
