Rachel Wilson, 19, went missing from Middlesbrough at the end of May.

The last known sighting of Rachel alive was thought to have been at 1130 BST on 30 May.

But new security camera footage shows her alive and well in the town centre at 0330 BST on 31 May.

'Confirmed sighting

Police hope the new footage may hold the key to her disappearance.

Officers investigating the case say the camera images show Rachel 'loitering' in the town centre.

A spokesman for Cleveland Police said: "This sighting is about four hours after the last confirmed sighting, and she is alive and well.

"The cameras have shown that, perhaps surprisingly, many people were out and about.

"The area is a major route through Middlesbrough and a busy taxi firm has its offices near where she is seen.

Heroin addiction

Rachel, from Grove Hill, is the third prostitute from Teesside to go missing from the streets of Middlesbrough.

Vicky Glass also turned to prostitution to feed her heroin addiction.

The 21-year-old was last seen in 1998 and her remains were found on the North York Moors, two years ago. Her killer has never been caught.

Donna Keogh, 17, disappeared from the same area of Middlesbrough town centre.

Rachel is seen on the security camera footage wearing a white, hooded, padded jacket, a white T-shirt, white trousers and white trainers.
