Resurfacing work on one of North Shropshire's busiest stretches of road is due to begin on Monday.
The A41 at Whitchurch is currently the target of a month long police campaign to cut the number of accidents and it is hoped the resurfacing work will help make the road safer.
Shropshire County Council says the existing worn out surface on the A41, which includes the A525 Wrexham Road and the B5476 Wem Road roundabouts, will be replaced and the road markings upgraded.
The work, being carried out by Wrekin Construction, is expected to last for a just over two weeks and the road will be closed overnight between 2100 GMT and 0630 GMT, with diversion routes in place.
Drivers are asked to be patient when passing through and to observe temporary speed limits.
