Four remanded over body parts murder
Adam Morrell
Adam's body parts were found scattered around the town
Four people have appeared in court accused of murdering Loughborough schoolboy Adam Morrell.

Nathan Barnett, 26, Matthew Welsh, 19, Daniel Biggs, 18, and a 16-year-old girl did not enter any pleas during a brief hearing.

The four are accused of murdering 14-year-old Adam, whose corpse was dismembered, between 13 and 18 November.

The youngster's remains were found wrapped in black bin-bags thrown in a canal, near allotments and on a playing field.

Judge Michael Stokes QC, sitting at Leicester Crown Court, adjourned the case for a plea-and-direction hearing in May.

Mr Barnett and Mr Welsh, both of Havelock Street, Loughborough, and Mr Biggs, of Park Road in the town, were remanded back into custody.

The 16-year-old girl, who cannot be named because of her age, was remanded back into secure accommodation.
