A big cat has been sighted in East Yorkshire

A big cat has been sighted in broad daylight on the East Yorkshire Wolds by a BBC reporter covering a job.
Although numerous sightings of the so-called "wildcat of the Wolds" have been well documented in recent years the sighting on Wednesday morning was of an animal about 70 yards from the witness.
Previous sightings of the cat have described it as puma-like and black in colour.
BBC reporter Tom Hepworth was by the roadside on Trundle Gate between High Hunsley and South Newbald when he spotted the animal.
He said the dark sandy-coloured animal crossed the road and moved like a cat stalking prey.
Lolloped off
He told BBC News Online: "It squeezed through a gap in the hedge and lolloped off across a field towards Dale Plantation.
"I've covered these stories in the past and never discounted people's sightings.
"It's quite feasible these cats could survive in the wild, but I never thought I'd ever see one in the flesh."
East Yorkshire wildlife expert Ernie Teal said: "It was seen last year by a woman walking her dog early one morning, it was crossing a field.
"They travel a long way, these big cats. There's plenty for them to live on around here."
