Angela Gordon, the mother of seven-year-old Khrya Ishaq, called emergency services in May 2008 to report the death of her daughter.

She tells the operator that Khyra died in her sleep.

Gordon has been sentenced to 15 years and Khyra's stepfather, Junaid Abuhamza, have been jailed indefinitely after the young girl starved to death at her Birmingham home, weighing just 2st 9lb (16.5kg).

Gordon was cleared of Khyra's murder last month but admitted manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility.

Abuhamza also had a manslaughter plea accepted following a report about his mental health.
