A group which wants the River Great Ouse to be linked with the Grand Union Canal is walking part of the route to raise awareness about its campaign.
The Bedford and Milton Keynes Waterway group wants the "missing link" between the canal at Milton Keynes and the Great Ouse at Bedford to be built.
It backs the creation of a series of waterway parks to create the link.
Its members are walking a five-mile (8km) section of the route. If built, the link would stretch 16 miles (26km).
