Residents are casting their votes for the next Conservative Parliamentary candidate for Bracknell, Berkshire. Voters in the constituency, including supporters of other parties, were invited to take part in the poll at the Blue Mountain Golf Centre, Binfield. People had until Monday to register for the US-style primary, taking place on Saturday, to choose the replacement for Bracknell MP Andrew MacKay. Mr MacKay announced he would stand down after the MPs' expenses row in May. At the meeting seven prospective candidates are speaking and answering questions. The hopefuls, chosen by the party, are journalist Iain Dale, healthcare worker Julia Manning, business consultant Katy Lindsay, financial columnist Margaret Doyle, family doctor Phillip Lee, charity founder Rory Stewart and entrepreneur Ryan Robson.
