A couple in Bristol had an extra reason for feeling sticky during the hot weather as honey started dripping down the wall of their flat.
The hot weather is thought to have caused the wax in a bees' nest in the flat's roof space to melt.
Retired architect Anthony Kemp had assumed the sweet-smelling liquid was water from a neighbour's leaking tap.
A bee specialist has been called, but is on holiday so "the honey could carry on dripping for a while," said Mr Kemp.
The honey could attract more bees to the property but Mr Kemp and his wife, Gwyneth, said they were not worried.
"It's quite interesting to see the bees going in and out. Maybe if we got stung, our attitude might become less charitable," he said.
