GPs in Bristol will be able to refer children to the clincs

Two new child obesity clinics have opened in Bristol to tackle the rising number of overweight youngsters.
Figures from the National Child Measurement Programme showed that one in five 10 year olds in the city were now classed as clinically obese.
At four years old, one in 10 children fell into the category.
Special clinics in Horfield and Knowle West opened on Monday and there are plans to create more if they prove successful.
GPs will be able to refer obese children to the clinics, to work with dieticians and exercise consultants to help get their weight down.
