A theatre company has staged a series of performances at shops in Bristol to help drum up trade and fight the recession.
Over the weekend, Show of Strength actors have performed at a pharmacy, a greengrocer's, and a restaurant in the Bedminster area of the city.
In all, they staged 57 monologues at 19 separate shops along North Street.
A spokeswoman said the arts and live performance could really help the area's regeneration.
Show of Strength worked with local writers to develop the five-minute monologues, which were specially crafted for individual shops.
Producer Gill Loats said: "We started in Bedminster in 1986, and created the theatres at the Hen and Chicken and Tobacco Factory so we're a local business ourselves."
