Stephen Fry has been the president of the Great Fen Project since 2006

Actor and raconteur Stephen Fry has adopted part of a Cambridgeshire fen as a gift for his mother on Mother's Day.
The popular quiz show host adopted a piece of the Great Fen so that she would have a piece of wetland to "romp in and enjoy".
Fry is president of the Great Fen Project, which aims to create a 3,700 hectare wetland in the county.
It raises money for the scheme by allowing people to sponsor a hectare of land near two nature reserves.
The message Fry wrote on his mother's land adoption certificate and plaque said: "Dearest Mama, your very own piece of wetland to romp in and enjoy.
"Much much love from your doting son, Stephen."
Fry said his mother would "love the idea of a gift that supports a conservation project here in England".
He said: "It's a mother's natural instinct to think of their children's future, so it's nice to say thank you in this way.
"This is quick and easy to do and will be fun to give her."
The Great Fen Project aims to create the wetland between Huntingdon and Peterborough by obtaining land adjacent to the Holme Fen and Woodwalton Fen nature reserves.
The project is a partnership of the Environment Agency, Huntingdonshire District Council, Middle Level Commissioners, which is a group responsible for land drainage, Natural England and the Wildlife Trust.
