Motorcyclists make up just 1% of traffic on roads

Highways bosses hope a list of the 10 most dangerous sections of road in Cornwall for motorcyclists will reduce the number of riders killed or injured.
The county council also hopes the list will help it identify why accidents occur and how they can be prevented.
The two most dangerous are the B3271 at Saltash and Camborne to Pool's A3047.
The county council says it will have failed if it has not severely reduced the number of accidents involving motorcyclists over the next five years.

County Council Chief Engineer Peter Moore said his colleagues were examining the list to determine why accidents occur in those areas.
He said he was sure he and his team would be able to make roads safer and so stop an average of 20 motorcyclists dying on the county's roads each year.
Motorcyclists make up just 1% of traffic on roads but account for 26% of deaths and serious injuries in crashes on the county's roads
