Some of the Cornwall operations will be moved to Brazil

The number of people who will be laid off by the china clay company Imerys will be fewer than previously expected.
Last month the French company announced it was making 785 redundancies in Cornwall and Devon.
But company spokesman Ashley Shopland says Cornwall will now lose 521 and 86 jobs will go in Devon.
Last month Imerys confirmed Blackpool Pit near Trewoon in Cornwall will close at the end of next year. The company is the county's largest private employer.
Imerys, which currently employs about 2,000 workers in the region, says the changes are necessary to protect the future of its business. Some of the current operations will be moved to Brazil.
Imerys has blamed high energy prices, a weak dollar and strong overseas competition for significant losses.
