A new scheme for the employers of migrant workers will start in Cornwall on Thursday.
Under the scheme, a welcome pack, produced by the Migrant Workers' Task Group, will be given to immigrants who come to work in the county.
The pack includes advice on British law, workers' registration schemes, Home Office contacts and even tips on beach safety.
It is published in Russian, Portuguese, Polish and English.
Prison sentence
The number of foreign workers in the farming and tourism sectors has grown rapidly in Cornwall in recent years.
Abuse of their rights has prompted the introduction this year of a gangmasters licence. Those who do not have a licence could face up to 10 years in prison.
Government statistics estimate that migrant workers make up around 4% of the national workforce, with more than half coming from Poland.
In Cornwall, the number of migrant workers is estimated at between 10,000 and 20,000.
