Addiction centre plans deferred
Proposals for a drug and alcohol centre in a Cornish town have been deferred by county councillors.

The Christian Alliance Housing Association wants to buy Penwinnick House in St Austell from the council for 650,000.

It plans to turn the building, which is near a school, into a treatment and rehabilitation centre for recovering alcoholics and drug addicts.

But the Council Executive said the issue needed more consideration.

It will be discussed again by a different committee next week.
