Shelling out EU cash for oysters
A Cornish oyster farm has been awarded almost 250,000 of EU Objective One funding towards its regeneration.

The Duchy of Cornwall Oyster beds on the Helford River have been farmed for centuries.

The owners of the business now want to reverse a decline in oyster production caused by a parasite attacking the beds in the 1980s.

They will spend the grant on a new boat, cages and racks and upgrading processing equipment.
