Bishop Thornton said he was looking forward to meeting local people

The new Bishop of Truro, the Right Reverend Tim Thornton, has been officially enthroned in the cathedral on Saturday.
He comes to the county from Dorset where he was the Bishop of Sherborne.
Dressed all in white, the new bishop was joined by 15 other bishops and children from Cornish church schools.
Bishop Thornton, 51, says he plans get to know as many people as he can in the diocese, which covers Cornwall, the Isles of Scilly and two Devon parishes.
He is the 15th clergyman to hold the post and replaces Bishop Bill Ind, who stepped down at Easter 2008.
Bishop Thornton is married to Sian, a head teacher. They have two adult children.
He was educated in Plymouth and went to Southampton University before training for the ministry in Oxford.
He has been a university chaplain and chaplain to the Bishop of London.
He was consecrated as a bishop in 2001.
