Work to stabilise a Derby bridge which was partially closed in August 2002 is to get underway in July.
London Road bridge was closed to city-bound traffic after structural problems were discovered.
The city council is paying for props to be fitted to stabilise the bridge for the next five to 10 years.

The strengthening work costing 150,000 will start on July 7 and is expected to take up to 10 weeks to complete.
After that both lanes of the route will be re-opened to traffic, but the current 18 tonne weight restriction will stay in place.
Alvaston Ward Councillor, Alan Graves said: "Local traders have noticed a down turn in trade due to the fact that traffic is basically one-way.
