Police have discovered a large haul of cannabis plants while attending the scene of a minor road accident.
The find was made after police were called to Chapel Street in Derby on Monday when a car hit a lamp post.
The post fell smashing some windows in a nearby property which was found to contain more than 50 cannabis plants.
Officers say they do not who was growing the plants in what they term 'a professional manner' but have taken them for testing.
The plants which were being cultivated in several different rooms were being grown using hydroponics where the plants are grown in water and fertilizer instead of topsoil.
