Six more arrested over teenager

Police investigating the death of Derby teenager Kadeem Blackwood have arrested six more people.

The arrests were made at a number of addresses in Burton on Tuesday.

A 17-year-old youth was held on suspicion of murder; five other people were detained on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Kadeem, 15, was shot in the chest with a shotgun in Sunny Hill on 11 November. Four people have already been charged in connection with his death.

The people arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender were two 18-year-old men, two 21-year-old men and a 43-year-old woman.

Of the nine people previously arrested, Michael Hamblett-Sewell, 19, and Callum Campbell, 18, both of Derby, have appeared in court charged with murder.

Helena Griffin, 48, of Derby, and 23-year-old Ashley Campbell have both been charged with assisting an offender.

The remaining five were released on bail pending further inquiries.
