Eleven rare monkeys have been stolen by raiders at a wildlife centre in south Devon.
Among the creatures taken was a four-week-old goeldis monkey which was clinging to its mother's back.
Others stolen included two silvery marmosets, a squirrel monkey and three cotton-top tamarins.
Intruders have struck before at the Shaldon Wildlife Trust, near Teignmouth, when five squirrel monkeys were taken on 1 August.
It is believed the creatures, taken in the latest raid between 1800 BST on Saturday and 0700 BST on Sunday morning, were stolen to order.
Tracey Moore director of the trust said staff were devastated at the theft.
She said: "It's the second time this has happened in as many months
"Five squirrel monkeys were taken in August and now this.
"There have been lots of other thefts of monkeys in last few months at other zoos.
"We are really concerned for their welfare, they need special conditions and also have a special diet."
