Daniel Collins-Frampton and Aaron Hull face life sentences
Two teenage boys have been found guilty of raping a 13-year-old girl on a beach in Devon.

Daniel Collins-Frampton and Aaron Hull, both 16, have been warned they could face life sentences.

The jury at Exeter Crown Court were told the schoolgirl had been taken to a beach in Torquay on 29 May, where she was raped and her boyfriend was beaten.

Judge Graham Cottle described the 16-year-olds as "vicious thugs" and took the unusual step of naming them.

The judge adjourned sentencing for reports and risk assessments.

Hull and Collins-Frampton were found guilty of rape, robbery and attempted robbery.

Judge Cottle said the pair will remain in custody 'for a very long time' and he could not rule out a life sentence.

At the time of the attack, both teenage boys were in care at the Cheltenham Children's Home in Torquay, which has now closed.

'Out of control'

The jury were told Collins-Frampton threatened to stab the girl and throw her into the sea.

She was raped by both defendants on the sand, then raped again by Collins-Frampton on nearby rocks while her boyfriend was kicked and punched senseless by Hull.

Judge Cottle told the court: "I need a risk assessment because they are vicious thugs with serious sexual problems and drink problems.

"They are totally out of control and the only thing that is controlling them at the moment is their being remanded in custody, and that is where both of them will remain for a very long time.

Collins-Frampton was also convicted of a further rape charge, but cleared of oral rape.

He had already pleaded guilty to false imprisonment and Hull had earlier admitted assault.
