New tenants for shopping centre
Drake Circus shopping centre
The centre will house three of the largest retail units in the region
Eight more businesses have announced they will be opening shops inside a 200m shopping centre in Plymouth set to open in October.

Primark, Next and Marks & Spencer are opening their biggest regional shops in the Drake Circus centre.

Now Billabong, Game, Starbucks and Lush will all take up residence as well as Burger King, The Perfume Shop, Passion for Perfume and HDH catering.

The centre, which will also have cafes, is expected to create 2,000 jobs.

Representatives of local shops have expressed concern that the centre could draw customers away, but developers say it should attract a steady flow of trade.

Other retailers who have already announced they are taking units in the centre include Boots, bookstore Ottakers, Virgin Megastore and fashion retailer Zara.
