Anglers with disabilities will be able to enjoy fishing on a countryside river in comfort for the first time as special facilities are opened.
The Dorset County Council rangers have created impaired mobility platforms on the River Stour, at the Riverside Meadows in Sturminster Newton.
The Anglers Association helped them choose and prepare the sites.
Anyone wishing to use the platforms should join the association and contact the council, a spokesman said.
Hilary Cox, of environmental services, said: "The Dorset Countryside rangers, assisted by a host of other organisations, have worked very hard to provide top-class facilities for anglers whose mobility is impaired.
