A major road has been closed as engineers carry out repairs to an 18th Century bridge that was badly damaged by a lorry.
Original stone and lime mortar will be used to rebuild part of Durweston Bridge, north of Blandford in Dorset, over the half-term week.
It was hit by a heavy goods vehicle over the summer.
The A357 will be shut and a diversion will be put in place via Shaftesbury and Stalbridge.
District engineer Nigel Hamer said: "We looked at various ways we could avoid a total closure, but in the end it just wasn't feasible.
"Allowing vehicles across such a narrow bridge while work was going on would be quite dangerous.
