The resort is being prepared for the tourist influx in the summer

A massive spring clean is taking place at a seaside resort town to prepare its beach, streets and tourist facilities for the summer.
The "Big Spring Clean" takes place in Bournemouth, Dorset, every year and involves everything from subways being jet-washed to steam-cleaning lampposts.
Weeds, graffiti and chewing gum are also on the borough council's hit list.
A council spokesperson said it helped "prepare the town for the large numbers of tourists through the summer months".
