Aircraft engineers jobs' threat

More than 90 jobs will be lost at Stansted Airport when an air freight company moves its operation to Belgium at the end of the year.

TNT Express Worldwide has confirmed work will be transferred from its aircraft maintenance team in Essex to its main European air hub at Liege.

The firm said the move has been prompted by a need to make savings because of the economic downturn.

TNT said it would try to offer the 91 workers alternative employment.
