An area of the Cotswolds is being searched after a mother and her disabled daughter went missing.

Florist Jude Richmond and Millie Whitehead-Richmond, aged nine, have not been seen since Sunday evening at their home in South Cerney, Gloucestershire.

Millie has cerebral palsy and police say they are becoming increasingly worried about her safety and that of her mother.

Mrs Richmond, 41, has provided flowers for movies and Hollywood premieres.

Officers were called to the house by the family cleaner at 1000 GMT on Monday and police launched a search.

Gloucestershire Police said Mrs Richmond had been under a lot of pressure recently and described her as 'very vulnerable'.

Inspector Russ Cooper said: "We've had the helicopter up, searching the local area and we've had forensic and rescue officers searching the edge of the lake."

A forensic search is also taking place at the family house and the search at the lake was due to resume on Tuesday morning.

Mrs Richmond runs floristry business Camelia Flowers and has a shop at South Cerney.
