Severn Estuary future discussed

People living near the Severn Estuary are being given the chance to voice their opinions on how the river and estuary area should be looked after.

The Environment Agency (EA) wants to hear of issues from flooding, to wildlife and river erosion.

It says anyone who would like to make their feelings known needs to contact the EA by 22 June.

The comments will help devise a management plan for the estuary area into the next century.

Earlier this year an inquiry into harnessing tidal power in the Severn Estuary rejected plans for a multi-billion pound barrage between Weston-super-Mare and Cardiff.
